Mandelbrot fractal deep zoom 6 2^678
This is the deepest zoom I've done so far and took around 30 hours of rendering.
Also, I decided to add a cool effect to the zoom giving it almost a 3d look which I think looks really cool, at least until near the end where the fractal becomes extremely complex, but still looks better than without the effect.

Colours From Nowhere - Psychedelic Fractal Art
This is a collection of fractals I generated using Stephen Fergusons awesome freeware program Tierazon.
'Colours From Nowhere' is the title of the audio track by Orbital.
I thought it suited the visuals well.
Hope you enjoy my first foray into fractal filmmaking.

We occupy a rather obscure, sparsely populated, place in the cosmos. We are about two-thirds of the way out on one of the spiral arms of a magnificent galaxy we call the milky way. This galaxy has a diameter of 100,000 light years and if we lived closer in towards the center, the day- and night-time skies would be a blazing, dazzling glory of swirling nebulas and stars more brilliant than baskets of the finest jewels strewn across black velvet.
Also, there are places in the universe where groups of galaxies swirl and dance in close proximity (where galaxies are concerned, close proximity is on the order of hundreds of thousands of light years apart). In such neighborhoods, we would be treated to a sky emblazoned with multicolored pinwheels made from hundreds of billions of stars.
This is not fantasy. Such places exist. We can see them through our telescopes. When we see a hundred billion stars or beautiful swirling nebulas created from titanic stellar cataclysms, or just our own star, the sun, we are witnessing the Forge of Creation. In a direct, very real, and personal way, we are witnessing the divine alchemy of the transmutation of elements. The entire periodic table is being created as we watch. This is synonymous with the statement The universe is being created as we watch. Every element you see on this planet was made this way. Every element that comprises your body was forged by the fabric of life inside stars. You are divine not as a matter of theological speculation but rather you are divine by virtue of the transformative act of creation that forged you...
The Glass of Silent Time
This is a video about fractal Skrying otherwise known as crystal ball gazing. The term Skrying comes from the old English word descry meaning to see or to observe. Skrying has come to be associated with clairvoyance. Originally, however, crystal balls were used as an aid to enhance vision. I really wanted to use Fractal Skrying as the title of my video but since only one out of one thousand knows what it means, I would have been guaranteeing my own anonymity.
Crystal balls work because of a property known as the index of refraction The index of refraction is a measure of how much the speed of light is reduced as it passes through a medium such as crystal, diamond, emerald, etc. It is unique for each substance and has historically been used (by me for example) as a tool in analytical chemistry. This video is called The Glass of Silent Time because (1) I think it sounds cool, and (2) Since light speed and time are inextricably linked, crystal balls or a glass full of water for that matter, silently reduce time, hence the title. The vast number of truly monumental events that occur in our immediate environment without our conscious awareness is of and by itself a clear expression of the divine nature of the cosmos. We do not need metaphysical explanations; the physical ones are sufficiently miraculous unto themselves.
Crystal has an index of refraction of 2.0. The crystal ball I use in my video, however, is a magical one because I can vary the index of refraction to view the exact place and magnification I choose. This has a specific advantage over the conventional zoom function because it enables simultaneous viewing of the base fractal plus the skryed region. In this way, a viewer can see that the enhanced region really is present in the fractal being viewed ... / abysimus on Youtube /

Animated Morphing by ehcropydoc (AWESOME)
This is my VERY first animation video. I made it using a program called Groboto. This really feels like a long video considering it takes an hour to render these high quality shapes and bots. It took me forever to make. Sit back and enjoy (best with volume up).

DEHP-III
Full-resolution 640x480 rework of DEHP-II. This has been colored a bit differently, slowed down considerably, and includes new music by Technetium.
The original version was nice, but this is just absolutely gorgeous and one of my best animations. It is also one of the deepst high-quality zooms ever created, with a final depth of E-78.

Julia Invasion Mandeldub
Rendered in 6 hours with the program Mandelbulb3D by Jesse.
Fractal: Matthew Benesi
Soundtrack: King Tubby - Invasion
Like in a dream II
Fractal animation made with Mandelbulb3D. I originally designed it for Bryan Alvarez from UC Berkeley, for a TEDx talk about his Human Atlas project, to illustrate his initial dream about the beauty of living systems. This one is an enhanced version. This is a hybrid Julia fractal where many parameters are being animated: the fractal paramaters themselves, the Julia seed, the colors, and of course the camera position. SPLIT POINT
STILL ONE BY ME FRACTAL STRIKING WITH YOUTUBE
split point from teamfresh on Vimeo.
plit point was an experiment.
After rendering my first few animations of the mandelbox – I found my camera skills leaving a lot to be desired, when it came to moving around and into the mandelbox! Some movements were too quick and jerky – whilst others took too long to play out. So I have been trying my video editing skills to resolve the problem.
To smooth the camera’s pitch and roll, I remapped the time of the fast areas to slow them down, that worked, but although the camera had smoothed out, the animation was very jerky as it was only 4-5frames per seconds at some points. Now you can just blend original frames together to create new ones and put them in between the originals – fine if you have at least 15-20fps to play with but when the frame rate is as low as 4-5fps (normally i render at 30fps) it gives bad results. so instead I used a pixel blending technique to create the brand new frames – so that the video could slow down without the animation losing details.
I have decided they were good results – although it led to a longer post production time.
The final 1.3GB multi-pass h264 encoded mp4

Travel into 3D fractals
http://www.newscientist.com/blogs/
Want to take a trip into a 3D fractal? In celebration of World Math Day, we bring you two new videos that zoom in and out of complex fractal patterns, created by Jonathan Wolfe, executive director of the Fractal Foundation in Albuquerque, New Mexico...
Arthur Clarke - Fractals - The Colors Of Infinity 1
Arthur C. Clarke presents this unusual documentary on the mathematical discovery of the Mandelbrot Set (M-Set) in the visually spectacular world of fractal geometry. This show relates the science of the M-Set to nature in a way that seems to identify the hand of God in the design of the universe itself. Dr. Mandelbrot in 1980 discovered the infinitely complex geometrical shape called the Mandelbrot Set using a very simple equation with computers and graphics.
